Eli's First Christmas

We have had the opportunity to spend Christmas in Las Vegas this year. It has been a lot of fun especially with no snow. We love the snow but not Rexburg Christmas snow where you can't move or go anywhere. Eli has had a lot of fun visiting family as well, we are very fortunate to have family close by. Eli was so cute this year. I have such a problem with sleeping in on Christmas Day. I just get so excited. So I woke Alex up at 5:00 am and then we went downstairs to wake everyone up at 5:30 am and Eli woke up with us. He was so tired and exhausted later but he still had a lot of fun. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Growing Up

Eli is just getting too old. I know I say this all the time. Eli loves to explore new things. He is sad that he is not yet crawling because he just wants to go everywhere. He is learning how to crawl though so shortly but surely we will definitely need to start baby proofing the house. He can get up on his toes and try to move but the force against his hands and his feet just cause him to plop straight down. He is one happy kid though. Wakes up with a smile and smiles at mom and dad all the time. He definitely brings so much joy into our lives and we love having him around. Now for the pictures. We take so many random pictures of Eli that we hope you all enjoy them just as much as we do!

He loves his sock monkey!

Somehow Eli got stuck under this chair. He has figured out how to go backwards but not forwards yet.

I was doing the dishes and heard a noise so I turned around and said Eli what are you doing? And this is the look that he gave me with my bag of chocolate in hand. This is his guilty look.

And then he was just happy to have the bag, he didn't even want the chocolate. Those ended up all over the floor.

This is what Eli does during finals week

Cross eyed baby!

Cute smile

He really wanted to help dad with his Immunology class but then decided that his socks were more interesting

Up on the knees......

and then straight to the toes

Wait for It!

Eli is the funniest little baby that we have ever seen. Lately he seems to get really excited about certain things and will definitely show it on his face. Here is a little video of his oh so very excited expression, but make sure that you watch the whole thing. It will totally make your day!

Finals Week

Finals week has come and gone and we are happy to finally have a break. Both Alex and I enjoyed our classes a lot this semester and learned so much. Surprisingly this is one of our best semesters and we even had little Eli thrown into the mix. It was amazing and we can't wait to start next semester.....just not too quickly. We will not enjoy our Christmas break and a Happy New Year.

Out finals week consisted of big books.......

And lots of chocolate!

Homework Buddy

As this semester is coming to a close, Alex and I have realized that we have the best homework buddy ever!!! His name is Eli and we think that he is pretty dang cute! Everytime we are doing homework we have realized that we have these big brown eyes staring at us that say, "When are you going to come play with me?" and it is so hard to not play with him. So we just play with him anyways. But we found these pictures on our camera and of times when we were trying to do homework and he would give us the sweetest looks. We love our baby boy and can't believe that he is going to be turning 7 months soon! Oh how time flies!

He LOVES this monkey. We call him Joey.

Eli loves Alex's calculator! Most of the time he thinks it's his.

Feed Me!!!!!!

So Eli has now been officially introduced to solid foods. For my baby shower in Colorado a received a magnificent tool from Kathy Jones. It is saving my life right now. It is a food grinder thing. So I can make my own baby food and I am loving it and it seems like Eli is too. He gets so excited when I bring out his little bowl and spoon. He knows that it is food time them and this is the cute face that he gives me. He loves food just as much as his mama. I can't believe how big he is getting. I try telling him to slow down, but it doesn't seem to be working. Love him!

Thanksgiving

I know that this is long overdue but I had to post a couple of pictures from Thanksgiving. We didn't take a lot of pictures which is something that I regret because we had a lot of fun. We have Thanksgiving with our neighbors the Andrus' and the Dimond's. This is our last Thanksgiving that we will be together for because we are all moving away so we thought we would take the time that we have a cherish it. We had our feast at about 11:00 am and then hung out the rest of the day. We watched the movie Brave and then went to Wal Mart for a little Black Friday chaos. It was fun. We are so grateful for the family and friends that we have and would never trade them for the world.

Alex made the turkey this year. Looks delicious!
Eli and Alex were exhausted after eating so much food. They are adorable!
